With just 11 days left in the 2024 legislative session, fiscal committees hit a deadline Monday as opposite house fiscal cutoff arrives, meaning bills can no longer be considered if they have not been voted out of Transportation and Ways & Means by the time those committees adjourn. The rest of the week will be dedicated to hearings on three initiatives and to floor action, which culminates Friday when opposite house cutoff arrives at 5 pm. At that point, any House bills in the Senate and Senate bills in the House without a fiscal impact are done for the year.
