Today is fiscal committee cutoff, meaning it’s the last day for bills with a potential budget impact to clear Ways & Means and Transportation and stay in play for the 2021 legislative session. The remainder of the week, and all the way until house of origin cutoff on March 9, the Senate will be on the floor passing bills to address Covid recovery, climate change, health care, equity, housing, police accountability and other policies to help Washingtonians bounce back from the pandemic.
