Friends and neighbors,

The 2022 session was full of wins for our communities – with historic investments in housing, education, transportation, and so much more. In my first session as Chair of the Senate Transportation Committee, we passed the transformative Move Ahead Washington transportation package to invest in the needs of our communities.

Over the last few weeks, I had the chance to tour some of the projects that will receive funding in Snohomish County. Along with Sen. John Lovick, I was excited to see some of the projects which will allow our neighbors to commute more easily. I look forward to seeing these investments in action!

 Election year restrictions

It is such an honor to be your state senator in the 21st Legislative District, and that work continues all year round. However, election year restrictions on official legislative communications begin on May 16, meaning that until after election results are certified, I won’t be able to reach out to you via my newsletter or provide updates through my official Senate website or social media pages.

During this time, though, I will still be around to answer your questions and serve our communities. You can always reach out to my office at or (360) 786-7640 and I’ll be happy to get in touch.
