Sen. Patty Kuderer, D-Bellevue, was sworn in Monday to represent the 48th Legislative District. Kuderer was appointed by the King County Council to fill the opening left by Lt. Gov.-elect Cyrus Habib’s resignation last week.
“I am deeply honored to serve as the state senator from my district,” said Kuderer. “I will bring the same dedication and service to this office, as I did as a state representative. I will continue to work hard every day on the challenges facing communities across our state. In this new position, I look forward to remaining accessible to all of my constituents.”
In addition to serving as the assistant ranking member on the Health Care committee, Kuderer will serve on the Financial Institutions & Insurance Committee, and the State Government Committee.
Kuderer lives in Bellevue and has two grown children who are both college graduates.
