With only 20 days left in the 2025 legislative session, the fiscal committees of Ways & Means and Transportation will wrap up their work Tuesday with the arrival of the opposite house fiscal committee cutoff. The Senate will be on the floor all week — and possibly Saturday — passing House bills ahead of next Wednesday’s opposite house cutoff on April 16, the final day to consider policy bills not necessary to implement the budget.
For those who celebrate, Wednesday is also Beef Day in Olympia.
FLOOR ACTION

The Senate will begin an extended period of floor action Monday, potentially continuing into the weekend. Floor sessions on Monday and Tuesday will run from morning to early afternoon to allow the Ways & Means and Transportation committees time to finish their work before Tuesday’s fiscal committee cutoff.
