Dear friends and neighbors,
I encourage you to mark your calendars for noon on Saturday, Feb. 17, when I’ll host an online town hall with my seatmate in the House, Rep. Jamila Taylor. Grab a few friends, enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, and join us at your kitchen table!
We’ll talk about our legislative priorities and the bills that are moving through the Legislature. Since this past Wednesday marked the deadline for policy bills to make their way through committees, we will have a better idea of what legislation still stands a chance of being adopted into law this year. While we sponsor numerous bills, those that aren’t voted out of committee cannot receive further consideration or be passed into law this legislative session.
I won’t be able to provide a link to the town hall until we get closer to the actual event, but for now I wanted to alert you that it’s coming so you can mark your calendars! I hope you’ll be able to tune in, give us feedback on the legislation still in play, and ask questions about issues that concern you!
