Friends, neighbors –

What are we doing to support small businesses and boost economic recovery? Did we take steps this year to make prescription medication more affordable? How are we making it easier for community members to pursue the family-wage careers they dream of?

We’re less than one week away from discussing our community’s questions like these (and more!) at my first Community Coffee Hour of the summer! ☕ I’m extra excited that this is our first opportunity in a while to safely gather in person (outdoors and with masks on!).

While you and all our neighbors have been as engaged as ever this year – and in some cases, even more engaged than before! – using remote options, I can’t wait to connect face-to-face as we plan out our next steps of the work to serve our community together. (Fun fact: did you know that the option to participate remotely in public testimony tripled the number of folks who testified this session, compared to last year?)

Join me on July 14 from 3pm to 5pm at Jerisich Dock in Gig Harbor with your questions, comments, coffee, and a mask. Just CLICK ON THE IMAGE BELOW TO RSVP and get Facebook reminders as we approach July 14. 👇🏽

Here’s the rest of the summer’s Community Coffee Hour schedule, which I’ll be posting with location and time specifics on FacebookInstagram, and Twitter, along with the updates I’ll send straight to your inbox.

  • On the 2nd Wednesday of every month, we’ll have an in-person coffee hour at different locations throughout the district.
  • On the 4th Thursday of every month, we’ll have a virtual coffee hour featuring different thought leaders in our community.

As always, I am eager to hear from you about your priorities. I hope you’ll follow me on social media so you can see what we’re up to, and please feel free to reach out anytime at 360-786-7650 or Emily.Randall@leg.wa.gov. The more we hear from you, the better our work in Olympia can reflect our shared values and goals.

All my best,
