Friends, neighbors –

How can I share my family’s story about the high cost of medical care? How can I help influence transportation policy to make our roads safer and more accessible? Is there a way for me to get involved in decision-making that impacts teachers and students?

I often get questions like these from our neighbors – folks who want to be part of policymaking conversations, raise their voices, and shape our future. Read on for three easy ways that you can jump in right now and make your voice heard! 👇🏽

OPTION #1: Come to my Virtual Coffee Hour TODAY, 5:30pm – 6:30pm!

I’m hosting a coffee hour over Zoom today at 5:30! Just like we did at my in-person coffee hour in Gig Harbor last week, today’s virtual coffee hour will be a chance to discuss anything and everything. Share your ideas and concerns, your questions and comments, or simply listen in on the conversation as led by our neighbors from around the district. CLICK THE IMAGE BELOW to register!

OPTION #2: Come to the next Redistricting Commission meeting!

On July 26 from 7:00pm – 9:00pm, share your thoughts about the drawing of new congressional and state legislative district maps with the Washington State Redistricting Commission. You can participate via Zoom Webinar, or listen in on TVW or YouTube. If you’d like to make a comment, be sure to register by 3:00pm on July 26 so you can join over Zoom to advocate for your community and help shape the next decade.

OPTION #3: Send in your ballot!

In 2019, the legislature approved pre-paid postage on ballots (thanks to Senate Bill 5063). I was thrilled to vote yes on this legislation and take down yet another barrier to making ourselves heard at the polls. With pre-paid postage, you no longer have to dig around for a stamp to mail in your ballot! Just fill it out, sign it, and drop it in your mailbox or nearest dropbox. 📮
