Friends, neighbors –
Are you starting to feel hope? 🌞 The days of hugging the people we love and spending time with friends and family – free of fear – feel so close. I’m hopeful because of you. So many of us in our community and our state have been dedicated to keeping folks safe – and what’s more: vaccine eligibility is opening up! Beginning April 15th, all Washingtonians over the age of 16 will be eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine!
Just last week, Washington hit a major milestone: 3 million vaccine doses administered, and 1 million people fully vaccinated! I also had the joy and the privilege of getting an extra dose along with my brother, thanks to the generous and community-oriented work of the Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribe. I’m going to drop some info about how you and your loved ones can connect with a vaccine appointment below, but first: I want to hear from you!
Looking for a vaccine appointment? Here’s a list of places to start.
👉🏽Wherever you are, start with the Washington State Department of Health’s vaccine locator.
👉🏽If you’re in Kitsap, start with Kitsap Public Health District’s site.
👉🏽If you’re in Pierce, start with Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department’s site.
As always, I hope you’ll consider me a resource if you need any help. My team and I are eager to hear from you and connect you with support. You can also give me a follow on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for regular updates about resources for our community as well as my work at the legislature. And please feel free to reach out anytime at 360-786- 7650 or Emily.Randall@leg.wa.gov. The more we hear from you, the better our work in Olympia can reflect our shared values and goals.
All my best,
