Friends, neighbors –

Yesterday the Senate dropped a historic $59.2 billion budget proposal – one that reflects our values, injects money into our communities, and helps us rebuild and come back stronger and more equitable than before. It includes funding to strengthen our health systems, our schools, our families, our workforce, and it was shaped by input from our neighbors all over the state.

I pulled out some highlights – and you can tap on the image below for even more!

Also: please spread the word! The Washington State Department of Commerce will open applications for round 4 of the Working Washington Grants on March 29. Business owners can find information about the program and a link to the application portal in the post below! The application portal will be open until 5:00 PM PDT on April 9.

We are all eager to hear from you about your priorities. I hope you’ll follow me on FacebookInstagram, and Twitter so you can see what we’re up to. And please feel free to reach out anytime at 360-786-7650 or Emily.Randall@leg.wa.gov. The more we hear from you, the better our work in Olympia can reflect our shared values and goals.

All my best,
