Dear friends and neighbors,
Last week, I began my term as state senator from the 26th Legislative District. I couldn’t be more thrilled to be fighting for our values and our communities in Olympia.
I was selected by my colleagues to serve as the vice chair of the Senate Health & Long Term Care and the Higher Education & Workforce Development committees, and as a member of the Transportation Committee. I’m ready to get to work expanding access to health care, making college more affordable, and building pathways to living wage jobs in our communities.
Live with Liias: Legislative preview
On Wednesday, I talked with Sen. Marko Liias about our goals for the session, from building our economy to protecting LGBTQ rights. You can check out the video and follow the work I’m doing for our families and communities on my new official Facebook page.
Transparency in government
I believe in transparency, and I want to keep you all informed about what I’m doing on behalf of the 26th District in Olympia. That’s why I’m making a practice of posting my calendar each week on Facebook. You can see last week’s calendar here.

Thank you for taking the time to read my first update. We are all eager to hear from you about your priorities. I hope you’ll follow me on Facebook so you can see what we’re up to.
