Sen. John Lovick

Vice President Pro Tempore

John Lovick served as a State Trooper for 31 years and was named Trooper of the Year in 1992. He also served a total of 13 years in the United States Coast Guard, including time patrolling the waters off Alaska. Lovick was elected to the Mill Creek City Council in 1993, where he served as Mayor Pro Tem. He was elected to the House of Representatives in 1998, where he served for nine years, including five as Speaker Pro Tem. He was appointed to the Senate in 2021.

Rep. Brandy Donaghy

Rep. Brandy Donaghy is a Navy veteran who worked on aviation weapons and weapon systems on F/A-18 and A-6 aircraft. After her service, she received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from UW-Bothell and has worked in real estate, IT, and other fields. Donaghy is a community educator, organizer and volunteer, serves on a number of local and regional Boards and committees and as a trustee at her church. She is involved in Emergency Preparedness training and is CERT certified. She lives in unincorporated Snohomish County with her husband, their children, two dogs and a lizard.

Rep. April Berg

Finance (Vice Chair)

Rep. Berg and her family has lived in Snohomish County for more than 20 years. She is a former small business owner and has worked in aerospace. As a former member of the Edmonds and Everett School Boards, public education is a top priority. She also has experience in local government as a former planning commissioner for the City of Mill Creek.
