Thank you to everyone who joined us for my virtual community BBQ this year. I gave a brief legislative update, and our special guest, Assessor John Wilson, gave a presentation and answered questions about the new senior property tax exemption I sponsored in the Legislature. It provides $20 million in property tax relief so that seniors and people with disabilities can stay in their own homes. Applications for exemptions are up 186% this year.
