State Sen. Liz Lovelett (D-Anacortes) is inviting the Lopez Island community to join her for an informal conversation as she prepares for the 2024 legislative session in Olympia.

The event will take place on Monday, Dec. 11, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Grace Episcopal Church, 70 Sunset Lane on Lopez Island. Constituents will have the opportunity to ask questions and provide input about issues and legislation that affect Lopez and other communities in the 40th Legislative District.

Lovelett has represented the 40th District since 2019. She chairs the Local Government, Land Use & Tribal Affairs Committee and is vice chair of the Environment, Energy & Technology Committee. A fifth generation Anacortes resident, she is rooted and invested in the 40th District and has become a leading voice in the Legislature on the environment, housing, water management, ferries, refinery safety, and common-sense solutions to issues that improve people’s lives and repair past harms.
