47th Legislative District Team

Sen. Claudia Kauffman was sworn into the Washington State Senate in January 2023. A resident of Kent for over 20 years, Kauffman was previously elected and served as Washington State Senator of the 47th Legislative District from 2007-11.

Kauffman is a fierce advocate for legislation and policy to protect children, address equity, and improve public education in Washington. She currently serves as the Intergovernmental Affairs Liaison for the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe.

Rep. Chris Stearns was sworn into office on January, 9 2023. As a Auburn City Councilmember and attorney, he champions the health and rights of Native Americans, youth, and vulnerable communities. He is a fierce champion of human and tribal rights, clean energy, health care access and affordability, and economic opportunity for tribal and other marginalized communities.

State Representative Debra Entenman is a former non-traditional student who is passionate about education for people of all ages and stages of life. That passion stems from her own experiences, as well as her family’s experiences, in pursuing higher education. As the daughter of a Seattle teacher, Debra believes in helping people reach their goals by advocating for programs that lift families out of hopelessness and enable them to succeed.
