Senator Annette Cleveland (D-Vancouver) issued the following statement on the passage of HB 5005 and the Oregon Legislature’s commitment to funding the Interstate 5 Bridge.
“The Oregon Legislature’s commitment to helping fund the Interstate 5 Bridge replacement marks a monumental step forward in our longstanding efforts to replace this aging infrastructure.
“The I5 Bridge is not only a crucial link between Oregon and Washington, it is a vital artery for the flow of commuters, good and services throughout our region. It is the backbone of our community’s transportation system and passage of this bill signals the exciting opportunities yet to come.
