As the most trade-dependent state in the nation, we\u2019re feeling the impact of the president\u2019s tariffs, which are weakening our trade relationships and hurting farmers, small businesses, and manufacturers across the state. This threatens the revenue we rely on to fund essential state services like education and behavioral health.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">&#8220;At the same time, H.R. 1 is driving up state costs for critical programs like SNAP, health care, and other safety-net services. Together, these pressures leave more Washingtonians vulnerable and make our job as budget writers far more difficult.
