Dear friends and neighbors,<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The 2023 legislative session officially ended last Sunday! <\/span><\/b>In our final week, we passed three historic budgets that provide real relief, support and resources to our neighbors in the 38th District and communities throughout the state.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Critical investments<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Each of our budgets \u2014 transportation, capital and operating \u2014 strengthens our state and places Washington in a strong position to lead the country in many sectors, from transportation to housing security to behavioral health resources.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Many hours and conversations went into shaping the operating budget, and I\u2019m very proud of the final result. It takes a holistic approach and makes targeted investments to address the root causes of the issues \u2014 like the housing, behavioral health and climate crises \u2014 facing our state, so we can give our neighbors the resources and support they need to lead healthy, productive lives. <\/span>Some specific investments I\u2019m thrilled to see include:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
