Friends and Neighbors,

At the request of those coordinating our collective emergency response and recovery, the informational session on insurance for those impacted by the fire originally scheduled for this evening will be postponed and will be rescheduled for a later date.

I will be sure to let you know when the event is rescheduled. Staff from the Office of the Insurance Commissioner (OIC) will be available at Spokane’s Disaster Assistance Center, which opens at Shadle Park High School on Thursday, Aug. 6. The OIC’s consumer advocates will be on hand through Sunday, Aug. 9, to offer insurance information and answer questions.

Below is a list of additional resources available. Visit the OIC’s website for more information and assistance on insurance questions as the wildfire situation continues to evolve.

The wildfires remain active, and I encourage everyone to rely on official sources for evacuation notices, fire updates, and emergency information.
