Friends, neighbors –

Last call: the application deadline for the Washington State Legislative Internship program is coming up on Wednesday, 10/20 – and this year’s special!

Why?

The internship program has increased its stipend to $2,400/month, and the legislature has invested in a new scholarship to make the program even more accessible and available to students across our state.

You might remember: we passed my bill to establish the Senator Rosa Franklin Legislative Internship Scholarship last session to honor an incredible public servant and to open the doors to this important opportunity even wider.

Every session for the last three sessions, I’ve been grateful to have an amazing intern join our team. Together, my legislative aide, my session aide, my intern, and my communications staff get to serve our community – and each year, I get to work with an intern who brings their passion, their lived experience, and their ideas to our service.

I hope you – or a college student in your life – will be our next! Forward this email to your network to remind folks about this opportunity before the deadline.

As always, I am eager to answer your questions and hear from you about your priorities so I can bring your thoughts and concerns with me to Olympia – your voice is with me in committee, in leadership meetings, on the Senate floor. Easy ways to reach me include FacebookInstagram, and Twitter – where you can shoot me a message and follow along to see what we’re up to. You can also reach out anytime at 360-786-7650 orEmily.Randall@leg.wa.gov.

All the best,
