It\u2019s called “One Small Step,” an initiative that pairs strangers who have different political views for a conversation in which they get to know one another as people.<\/p>\n
Today, we\u2019re going to hear what happened in one of these conversations between two people based in Washington state.<\/p>\n
One of the goals of a One Small Step conversation is for participants to understand why people have the political beliefs they have.<\/p>\n
In this conversation, we\u2019ll hear from Washington state senators Karen Keiser, who is a Democrat, and John Braun, who is a Republican.
