Sen. Steve Hobbs

Chair, Senate Transportation Committee

Senator Steve Hobbs has been a member of the Washington State Senate since 2006. In addition to representing the people of the 44th district, he is a Lieutenant Colonel in the Washington Army National Guard and proudly served in Kosovo and Iraq. In 2011, he received a Master’s of Public Administration from the University of Washington Evans School. In 1994 he earned a bachelor’s degree in political science at the University of Washington.

Rep. John Lovick

Speaker Pro Tem

John Lovick served as a State Trooper for 31 years and was named Trooper of the Year in 1992. He also served a total of 13 years in the United States Coast Guard, including time patrolling the waters off Alaska. Lovick was elected to the Mill Creek City Council in 1993, where he served as Mayor Pro Tem. He was elected to the House of Representatives in 1998, where he served for nine years, including five as Speaker Pro Tem.

Rep. April Berg

Finance (Vice Chair)

Rep. Berg and her family has lived in Snohomish County for more than 20 years. She is a former small business owner and has worked in aerospace. As a former member of the Edmonds and Everett School Boards, public education is a top priority. She also has experience in local government as a former planning commissioner for the City of Mill Creek.
