Hasegawa to serve on crucial committees in state Senate

OLYMPIA – Sen. Bob Hasegawa, D-Beacon Hill, retains seats on three critical committees in the Washington state Senate.

Hasegawa will continue to serve on the Senate Commerce, Labor & Sports Committee, the Senate Rules committee and the Senate budgetary committee, Ways & Means. Any bill that goes to the floor of the Senate for a final vote must pass through Rules and/or Ways & Means.

“This session is going to be significant on many fronts, including education equity and funding and addressing income inequality through tax reform,” Hasegawa said on Wednesday. “The committees I serve on are central to these issues and I will continue to give the 11^th district a voice where it counts in state government.”
