VANCOUVER — Sen. Adrian Cortes (D-Battle Ground) is hosting an education roundtable with local education leaders to discuss the 2025 legislative session and future education policy 5:30 p.m. Monday, June 16.  

Cortes will be joined by Rep. Monica Stonier, Camas School District Superintendent Dr. John Anzalone, Evergreen School District Superintendent Dr. Christine Moloney, Battle Ground School District Deputy Superintendent Shelley Whitten, Educational Service District 112 Superintendent Tim Merlino, and Evergreen Education Association President Kristie Peak.  

“This legislative session we secured more education funding for Washington’s 1.1 million students, but there is still more work to do,” Cortes said. “As a special education teacher in the Camas School District, I know firsthand how critical it is we continue to invest in students, and that’s why I am hosting this roundtable, so we can discuss the problems our schools face and solutions.”
