OLYMPIA — Five bills sponsored by Sen. Adrian Cortes (D-Battle Ground) continue to move through the legislative process. The bills address student safety, patient support, consumer protection, community safety, and election integrity. Senate Bill 5951 authorizes public and private schools to maintain and use a supply of albuterol. Albuterol can be life saving for students with asthma. About Sen. Adrian Cortes
Sen. Adrian Cortes is a father and public school teacher who is committed to responsible leadership and fiscally responsible budgets that make critical investments to improve lives in the 18th Legislative District. As a longtime Clark County resident, he served on the Battle Ground Planning Commission and then was elected to Battle Ground City Council, serving as Mayor in 2020 and 2021. His family moved to Battle Ground when he was six years old and has happily called it home ever since.
