I\u2019ve watched with deep concern as the Trump\/Musk administration fired <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/doge-faa-air-traffic-firings-safety-67981aec33b6ee72cbad8dcee31f3437\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">safety officials at the Federal Aviation Administration<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/news\/veterans-speak-1000-layoffs-department-114255159.html\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">caregivers at the Department of Veteran\u2019s Affairs<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, and Department of Energy employees in Richland <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.columbian.com\/news\/2025\/feb\/17\/murray-trump-layoffs-leave-hanford-nuclear-site-with-skeleton-crew\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">responsible for monitoring and cleaning up the Hanford nuclear site<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">There are no simple solutions, but I can promise you we are constantly looking for ways to support federal employees and their families living in Washington. One way is through <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/app.leg.wa.gov\/BillSummary\/?BillNumber=5767&amp;Year=2025&amp;Initiative=false\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Senate Bill 5767<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, which would help federal employees who lost their jobs find new employment.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">In addition to legislative actions, we will continue partnering with our state\u2019s federal representatives, governor and attorney general.
