It is both a health and economic priority to get COVID-19 vaccines distributed and administered as soon as possible. The vaccination process will continue to be a focus for me and the rest of the Legislature.

I was initially concerned with the speed of the process but after several briefings with the Department of Health, I have confidence that the initial distribution challenges are being worked out, with the goal of 100,000 per day as soon as we start to receive more vaccines from the federal government.

To further help the vaccination process, the Governor, this week, announced revised and more flexible guidelines for distribution. Now, every citizen 65 and over can receive a COVID-19 vaccine. Click here for information on eligibility and where to get a vaccination if you are eligible.

Welcome to Morgan and Bailey!

I am pleased to re-introduce you all to our new Legislative Assistant and former intern, Morgan Rockey! Morgan is a graduate of the University of Washington with a Political Economy degree. We are thrilled to have Morgan back in our office and look forward to her creativity, thoughtfulness and hard work on behalf of the people of Spokane.

We are also excited to welcome Bailey White as our legislative intern this session. Bailey is a Junior at Gonzaga University, studying Business Administration and Political Science. Originally from Wenatchee, she has enjoyed living in and exploring Spokane and is excited to learn more about public service during her time with our office.
