Eide comments on unanimous passage of Senate transportation budget 4/19/2013
Sen. Tracey Eide, D-Federal Way, co-chair of the Senate Transportation Committee, issued the following statement regarding the $8.7 billion 2013-15 transportation budget passed unanimously today by the Senate. The action came just one day after Senate Bill 5024 was passed out of the Transportation Committee unanimously.

Legislation proposed by Sen. Tracey Eide, D-Federal Way, would help communities crack down on copper wire and other metal theft. Senate Bill 5413, an act relating to metal theft would expand metal theft provisions relating to costs to repair physical damage, penalties, and seizure and forfeiture.

Sen. Tracey Eide, D-Federal Way, has been elected co-chair of the Senate Transportation Committee for the 2013 Legislative session. Eide has served on the Transportation Committee for more than 16 years and will be working hand-in-hand with Republican co-chair, Sen. Curtis King of Yakima.

Tracey Eide earned them the "Saved our Transit Bacon" award, after they rescued us and City Hall from a political quagmire by gaining regional support to keep transit planning for Federal Way moving ahead."
