Biography
Jean was appointed then elected to the Washington State Senate in 2004. She served in the House of Representatives from 2001-2003. She is chair of the Senate Financial Institutions Housing and Insurance Committee and a member of the Senate Transportation Committee.
Jean advocates for government accountability, affordable health care, education, and issues important to seniors. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Washington.
Jean considers herself a native Washingtonian and has been involved with numerous civic and community organizations including:

- Everett Community College Board of Trustees
In her free time Jean enjoys rockhounding at the beach, sketching and is learning to play golf.
